Onward House from Darlington via A167:
The A167 and the A66 intersect on the southern outskirts of Darlington at the Reg Vardy roundabout (see below*). At this roundabout you can take the A167 towards Northallerton, passing the Reg Vardy garage on your right. Follow the road for about a mile. The road crosses a stream and turns right bringing you alongside houses on your left and the Tees river on your right leading towards a stone bridge over the river. Just before the bridge you need to turn left away from it, travelling up a steepish bank. Continue along this road until you come into Hurworth village. You continue through the village green just past the old Norman church on your right hand side. The practice is situated just past the church on the other side of the road.

* The Reg Vardy garage has been taken over and is now Evans Halshaw garage.

Onward House from the A66 via new football stadium:
Darlington's new football stadium is now a major landmark on the A66. This can be approached from the south (via the Reg Vardy roundabout – see above) or from the north from A66 via Stockton and Middlesbrough (taking signs to Darlington South). At the stadium roundabout, take the turning for Hurworth and Neasham. Immediately after the roundabout, take the first right and follow the country lane until it reaches Hurworth village. When you reach the “T” junction turn left and continue through the village green. After passing through the green you will approach the old Norman village church (situated on your right hand side). The practice is located just past the church on the other side of the road.

Onward House is easily identifiable as a taller Victorian brick building within a terrace of Georgian cottages. The front of the practice is covered by a woody wisteria (in full bloom in the springtime, naked in winter) and has a large cream bay window on the ground floor. There is a bus stop and ample parking directly in front of the building.

We look forward to seeing you!
