This case shows the teeth of an older patient (Mr P - aged 65). The adjacent teeth are all somewhat discouloured with older fillings etc. Whilst there is quite a high demand these days for cosmetic dentistry and smile "make overs", some patients simply want replacement teeth that function well and blend in with their exisiting teeth. This is quite a good example of one such case. Alternatively, if patients are not happy with the appearance of their natural teeth, the planning phase for implant treatment is also a sensible time to re-evaluate the overall situation and find out about cosmetic alternatives for adjacent teeth.
