Simon is well-known in the region and his services are now recommended by dentists throughout the North-East. He is an experienced lecturer in dental Implantology, and has been invited to speak at postgraduate regional and national meetings at various university, hospital and private settings at the request of both NHS and private organisations. He has worked with a number of the world's best documented implant systems having fitted many hundreds of implants over the course of the past ten years.

Simon has been actively involved in research into implant design and has published many articles on implant dentistry for professional journals in Europe and the UK , some subsequently republished in the USA . He has attended many national and international Implantology symposiums, courses and meetings in various countries, including Austria , Germany , Switzerland and the USA . He has worked as a national committee member and director of the Association of Dental Implantology and from time to time also provides his expertise as a scientific reviewer for leading national and international journals including the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants (IJOMI) and the British Dental Journal (BDJ).

Simon originally graduated from Guy's Hospital London in 1982, subsequently establishing his clinic at Onward House in 1987. He has extensive experience in private crown, bridge and denture work with some 25 years experience in the use of intravenous sedation as an aid to the treatment of nervous and phobic patients.
