Simon's services as an implant practitioner are well-established and dentists throughout the North-East region and beyond have recommended his work to their patients, their friends and their close family members as well as undergoing treatment themselves. Aside from his basic dental qualifications (first degree: University of London), Simon also holds a Master's Degree in Implant Dentistry awarded subsequently by the University of Sheffield. Nowadays he is an experienced lecturer in dental Implantology, and has been invited to speak at postgraduate regional and national meetings at various university, hospital and private settings at the request of both NHS and private organisations. He has worked with a number of the world's best documented implant systems having fitted many hundreds of implants over the course of more than a decade.

Simon has been actively involved in research into implant design and has published many articles on implant dentistry for professional journals both in the UK and internationally. He has attended many national and international Implantology symposiums, courses, seminars and clinics in various countries, including Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the USA. He has worked as a national committee member and director of the Association of Dental Implantology in the UK (ADI) and from time to time also provides his expertise as a scientific reviewer for leading national and international journals which for some years now have included the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants (IJOMI) and the British Dental Journal (BDJ).

Simon originally graduated from Guy's Hospital London in 1982, subsequently establishing his clinic at Onward House in 1987. He has extensive experience in private crown, bridge and denture work with some 25 years experience in the use of intravenous sedation as an aid to the treatment of nervous and phobic patients.
